You have 30 days after marriage to add your spouse and/or make changes to your VyStar benefits.

Within 30 days of getting married

• Review your VyStar benefits and add or update your benefits coverage.
• Consider adding your new spouse to your VyStar medical, dental, and vision benefits; you may elect/change a Flexible Spending Account.
• Consider adding Supplemental Spouse Life Insurance. Note: If your spouse is also a VyStar employee, you may not add this benefit if your spouse has Supplemental Life Coverage on themselves.
• You may want to take the time to review and update your beneficiaries.

Be sure to enroll or make changes within 30 days of marriage; this is your Special Enrollment Period. The change will be effective on the first of the month following timely notification of the Qualified Life Event.

To make a change to your benefits following a Qualified Life Event, visit the Benefit and Pay hub within Workday and select the Change Benefits tile.

At any time

• While on the enrollment platform, update your beneficiaries for your life insurance to make sure your benefits are paid the way you want.
• If enrolled in the ARAG legal insurance, consider creating or updating your will to add your spouse in case something happens.
